Dunlop Manufacturing, popularly known as just "Jim Dunlop," has been making guitar accessories such as picks and capos since 1965. From the Tortex pick to the Jazz III, Dunlop picks are some of the most popular in the business. For nearly three decades, though, Dunlop has also become known for distributing the famous Cry Baby Wah pedal. Currently, Dunlop makes eight different signature Wah pedals (including models for Eddie Van Halen and Kirk Hammett), five different standard configurations, and a Bass Wah.
Not only has Dunlop taken over the Cry Baby brand, they also distribute MXR Pedals, which were hugely popular in the 1970's and 1980's, Fuzz Face pedals and Way Huge effects pedals. Dunlop also makes the Roto Vibe, a Jimi Hendrix Octavio effect, and a recreation of the Uni-Vibe. They also produce an effects pedal power supply (the DC-Brick) and a Volume Pedal. One thing is sure - Jim Dunlop has come away from the small shop founded in 1965.
