Brian Wampler of Wampler Pedals is a true success story about what can happen when someone with an obsession with effects pedals also has incredible drive and excellent customer service coupled with an insane work ethic. Hand built in the U.S.A., each Wampler pedal is a testimony to the dedication and tone fanaticism of its namesake founder.
Brian Wampler began his career as an effects pedal guru through old-fashioned curiosity. Someone had modded a pedal for him, and he wanted to know how it was done. So, he started tearing apart effects pedals to see how they were built. Eventually, he started modding the pedals of folks he met online at Harmony Central and soon founded his own website devoted to his own designs as well as modifications, IndyGuitarist.com, which grew into Wampler Pedals. All Wampler pedals are built in the U.S.A. and, believe it or not, come with a 5-year transferable warranty. Yes, each pedal is warrantied for 5 years regardless of the current owner. That shows the level of service Wampler provides to his customers.
Wampler is perhaps best known for his overdrive and distortion pedals. Popular pedals include the Ecstasy (our personal favorite), the Black '65 (based on cranked Fender amp), Plexi-Drive (based on a Marshall JTM-45), Plexstortion (based on the Marshall JCM800), and the Pinnacle (based on the Eddie Van Halen "brown" sound). In addition to a wide range of overdrive and distortion pedals, Wampler offers effects for delay, echo, reverb, chorus, and compression, all with the same excellent build quality and commitment to tone.
